What activities do you do to stay healthy?
For me it is a variety of things. I enjoy working out with weights to help maintain muscle mass to keep me strong. I run and take spin classes to help with cardio health. And I do yoga to help maintain flexibility and my sanity. You see, yoga is more than just poses, it also allows me to slowdown, listen to my body, connect with my breath and my mind.
Personally, I want to be strong and active long into my golden years. I may not be the 80 year old woman running a marathon, but I want the option. I may not be that 80 something woman in a body building competition, but I want the option.
I know, however, I do want to be able to continue running, taking my dogs for walks and spend time with my family and loved ones for a good long time.
So I make a daily choice to eat well, get enough sleep and stay active with regular workout routines. How about you? What dreams do you have for your "golden" years? Are you doing what you need to today to support your body so you can have what you dream? If not, now is a perfect time to get started! If I can do it, so can you!
